Before buying properties the first thing we look for is the location. As we seek for that, the first thing to consider in a place in society. Investing in property is making it as your second home. You need to research and know everything about the area. Society is a group of individuals that share common economic, social and industrial infrastructure. You will need to know the status of the three before coming up with your final decision. This may affect your investment in property. The major concerns of society are inequality, racial discrimination, economic disparity, poverty, and overpopulated places. This concerns somehow does not define Malaysia at all. Malaysia Constitution

Malaysia is a monarch country with the title “Paramount Ruler”. There were nine hereditary state rulers, Malaysia was elected to rule for a five-year term. They have a bicameral federal legislature composing of two senates the upper house and the lower which is the house of Representatives. They declared independence in 1957 by the state Peninsular Malaysia. The House of Representatives has a prime minister. Another minister was appointed by the monarch which composes the cabinet. All must be a member of the federal parliament though minister number is not fixed. There are the independent judiciary and neutral services included by the federal government.  

The authority to legislation relating to government finances, defense, foreign policy, internal security, the administration of justice, and citizenship are the powers of the federal parliament. If there is an issue, under the constitution it must be addressed by the federal legislature or a state legislature. There are 200 members of the House of Representatives. Two-third of the members were from Peninsular Malaysia. One member came from the place Labuan, the rest are equally divided between Sarawak and Sabah. They have selected individual members to term five years. The Prime minister recommended that the paramount ruler appoint six dozen members of the senate of those nearly. Other members are elected by state legislative assembly. It will require a two-thirds majority for the amendments, but election requires by a majority. Both houses approved the bills.

Malaysia Local Government

There are thirteen states in Malaysia and three federal territories. Legislative assembly and executive council are written constitution of each estate. This is headed by a chief minister. Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and the island of Labuan has the same status of state. These are federal territories that do not have separate legislatures.

Hereditary rulers are the ones leading the states. Some state calls it Sultan, these places are Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, PahangPerakSelangor, and Terengganu. Other are Raja meaning king, one is Perlis. They have a chief ruler for Negeri Sembilan. State ruler for Sarawak, and Sabah. They are the one managing and advising the state government. The election is done every five years. The village is the smallest unit in the government. The two-division of the state that was divided were Sarawak and Sabah. 

Justice in Malaysia

The supreme law of Malaysia is the constitution of the country. The federation of the judicial power shall be in two high courts. This was named as the high court in Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia) and the high court in Sarawak and Sabah (East Malaysia). Court of Appeals heard first the High Courts. The highest court in Malaysia is the federal court. If they were not able to win at the court of appeal they will be passed it on the federal headed by the chief justice. There are a chief judge and other justices in a high court. They may pass any sentence allowed by law it may be criminal or civil jurisdiction. The three subordinates were Sessions Court, the Magistrates’ Court, and the Court for Children. There is Islamic law for Malay, a religious court established for them. These are not federal legislation but rather a government state.

Malaysia Political process

The election of Prime Minister in Malaysia is done peacefully. They have a multiparty political system. Once the citizens turned twenty-one years old they are already allowed to vote. Political position numbers are increasing since the 20th century. In the political process, women are understated. The position is held by Malays, there are only a few posts for indigenous and nonindigenous minorities. There is a different combination of parties. This is the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC). In Sarawak and Sabah, the parties include Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) and the Sabah United Party. The main opponent parties are the Democratic Action Party (DAP), which consists of ethnic Chinese; the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party and the People’s Justice Party since the early 21st century.

Security in Malaysia

In the formation of Malaysia in 1963, the strength and capability of the armed forces increases. The British military forces in Malaysia withdraw. They have an agreement with five countries to ensure the defence of the country. This country was Malaysia, Singapore, New ZealandAustralia, and the United Kingdom. There is additional security from the region. ASEAN also provides for this security. There are army, navy and an air force that comprises the armed forces. The largest unit in the army. They have at least three-fourths of enforcement to the military personnel. The long-indented coastlines and narrow waters of the country are defended by the Royal Malaysian. They have transport aircraft and helicopters. Being a military is voluntary requiring age to be at least 18 years old. The British Model before they left was able to give them an internal security model. They have a well-trained police force and combat. Police are different from armed forces.

Education in Malaysia

Malaysia’s government allocates budget for education. They have free public schooling for the primary and second levels. They must take primary education which is for six years. Children received secondary education. From three to four-year segments. They may enroll in a vocational course in their second segment. They may want to advance to the postsecondary level. The country has universities public or private, tertiary institutions, teacher training colleges and more. The University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur is a prominent institution. Also, the University of Science, Malaysia (1969) in Penang and other universities. In the mid-1990’s when they established major state universities in Sarawak and Sabah.

Media and publishing

The most common source of news will be the press in urban areas in Malaysia. Information can also be found in the newspaper which is privately owned and depending on the news coverage. In urban areas radio is the primary source of news and information. There is a radio channel which is common to rural areas. The television and radio have national languages so that everyone could understand, the government operated a radio-television both in Peninsula. There is English and other assorted languages for everyone.

Across geographical and linguistic boundaries, television is a popular medium. Until the mid-1990s the government had a monopoly on television broadcasting when they opened it to the private sector. A commercial station has been established during that time. For that reason, there is a business establishment for private cable and satellite companies. They have reached the most remote rural regions.

The primary purpose of knowing the society in the property you are investing in is that it will help you to decide what you want to invest in. You will be part of society if you will be investing property, so you must know the background of the place especially if you are a foreigner. You should be able to know the constitution so that you will know what to do legally if ever you will be put in some circumstances. The security in every country is, of course, important if you plan to leave in a place the first thing you want to know is how safe will be the place.

You need also to know the political process if you plan to be residing in Malaysia. You need to understand your rights so that you know when you will be defending yourself. The education in a place is something you must learn because you might want to invest in learning for you to be knowledgeable in your business if you will be putting up. The heart of society is the family system and organization of the relationship. Intersection to other people is important, but before you will do that you need to research the background.
